Cherokee Lake covers 30,300 acres and 463 miles of this Reservoir Lake shoreline. Its watershed covers 3,428 square feet. Melton Hill Lake Reservoir lake is on the Clinch River in east Tennessee. It extends almost 57 miles upstream from Melton Hill Dam to Norris Dam. Unlike other TVA reservoirs, Melton Hill is not used for flood control. But because it’s used for power production, the level of the water in the reservoir fluctuates about four feet throughout the year.

The area around Melton Hill offers year-round camping plus sheltered picnic tables and pavilions. Two boat ramps, one below the dam and one above, give boaters access to Watts Bar Reservoir as well as Melton Hill Reservoir. Roads on both sides of the river are great for walking, jogging, or bike riding. Game fish in the reservoir include sauger, crappie, and bass.


Norris Lake This Reservoir Lake has 800 miles of shoreline. Norris extends 56 miles up the Powell River and 72 miles up the Clinch River. The lake has a surface area of more than 34,000 acres and over 800 miles of shoreline. Bordering counties and cities are: Anderson County Clinton, Oak Ridge, Lake City, Oliver Springs, Norris. Campbell County Jellico, Jacksboro, LaFollette, Lake City, Caryville. Union County Luttrell, Plainview, Maynardville.

Tellico Lake and Fort Loudon lake. Tellico Lake consists of 15,860 acres of surface, 373 miles of shoreline and a 2627 square mile watershed. It is located southwest of Knoxville and only minutes from Maryville and Lenoir City. Bordering counties and cities are: Loudon County Philadelphia, Lenoir City, Greenback. Monroe County Madisonville, Vonore, Sweetwater, Tellico Plains.

Watts Bar Lake is situated in the heart of the Tennessee River Valley. This reservoir covers 39,000 acres and has over 780 miles of shoreline. If outdoors is your thing, then Watts Bar Lake has got what you need - year round. Bordering counties and cities are: Loudon County Philadelphia, Lenoir City, Greenback. Meigs County Decatur. Rhea County Dayton, Spring City, Graysville. Roane County Oak Ridge, Kingston, Harriman, Rockwood, Oliver Springs.
